Biography

Tomás Arriaza is a Chilean psychologist (Universidad de Chile, 2016) pursuing a PhD in the Health Behavior Research program at USC, co-mentored by Dr. Alyssa F. Harlow and Dr. Jessica L. Barrington-Trimis.

He is interested in using causal inference methods to understand the development and progression of alcohol and drug use. In this field, he has previously worked on exploring the relationship between impulsivity and substance use facets among adolescents.

In his free time, he enjoys reading and discussing behavior analysis and philosophy of mind, as well as listening to music and playing the drums.
